Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What should I wear to class?
A. We have a uniform for all children’s performing arts classes. View our Uniform Policy here
Q. What footwear should I wear?
A. Tap and ballet shoes for Tap and Ballet. Trainers for Street Dance. Trainers for Musical Theatre. Jazz shoes for Jazz. Bare feet for Contemporary. We have a specialist sprung floor. Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studio so please bring a clean pair with you.
Q. Can I watch my child’s class
A. We don’t allow parents in to every class as this is very distracting for the children. Each term we have a ‘Parents Watching’ week where you can come and observe your child’s class. We also produce yearly shows and concerts so you’ll get to see what they’re up to!
Q. Can I/my child come and watch a class before we join?
A. We offer a free trial class, so rather than watching one just come and join in!
Q. Do you do exams?
A. Yes! Ballet, Tap, Street Dance and Music pupils all take exams. We use the ISTD for dance and ABRSM or Trinity for Music.
Q. Is there somewhere to wait whilst my child is in a class?
A. We have a lovely waiting room with free tea/coffee and magazines to read. It’s a lovely atmosphere and a great way to meet new people.
